The Animal Members of the Family

Talk about a zoo, well we're getting there. Among the animal members of the family are two dogs, a couple of cats, some budgies (well, okay, lot's of budgies) and a cockatiel. Just for introductions, the pet members of the family are:

Annie042500a.jpg (41687 bytes)Annie is a seal point Siamese who became part of the family in September, 1998. We were in San Diego for a bird show when Delores saw Annie's brother and decided it was time to get pets back in the family. Annie's brother had been donated to the show's sponsors for a raffle item, so we bought Annie directly from the breeder. Annie was born May 1998 and her CFA registered name is Alycats Annie.

Oscar0228c.jpg (48667 bytes)Oscar came to the family in Fall of 1998 after Delores visited the veterinarian's and fell in love with two kitties they had there. Oscar was one of them and came home that very day. He is a very laid back and large cat. Now, at just over 3 years of age he weighs 22 pounds. As you can see he's taken over the computer desk.

Sadie 03.jpg (91916 bytes)Sadie is our second pug. She joined us on New Year's Eve 2001 at the age of eight weeks. This photo was taken in the office in our house. She's laying under the computer table, one of her favorite spots.

dogs 03.JPG (22809 bytes)Sadie, Wednesday and Max - November 2004. I was working on the computer when I noticed the dogs in a big pile on the chair right behind me. Luckily my camera was right next to me, so I grabbed it and too a couple of shots. I think this one came out pretty well. The two pugs are Sadie on the left and Wednesday on the right. They are both laying on top of Max our Miniature Schnauzer. Since this photo was taken Wednesday moved to a new family nearby to help them with the loss of their earlier pug. And, as noted below, we've lost Max to Canine Lymphoma.

Maxwell [February, 2000 - November, 2006] - Goodbye Max - November 10, 2006 Max lost his courageous battle with Canine Lymphoma. Thanks to the doctors and staff of Critical Care Associates who gave us 11 months of wonderful times with Max after his diagnosis.

Maxwell was a miniature schnauzer who joined the family in March, 2000. Maxwell was born in early February, 2000. This is in the chair in our home office.

MistyMisty [July, 1985 - June, 1998] was with us since the Fall of 1985 when she was a young lady of just six months. Misty left us June 15, 1998 after a very short period when a long time heart condition suddenly worsened shortly after we lost her long time friend, and family member Silver.  Misty was part pug, part shih tzu, and part who knows what.

Silver98tn.jpg (25610 bytes)Silver [July, 1989 - May, 1998]  left us after a short illness on May 26, 1998. Such a loss, and not quite 9 years old when she died. Perhaps we'll see her at the Rainbow Bridge. She was just 8 weeks old when we got her from a friend.

Madge9912aMadge [November, 1985 - October 2001] joined the family in November, 1998. A retired show dog, Madge died suddenly after getting seriously ill and spending two days at the veterinary hospital.
