Champion Breeder & Exhibitor of English Budgies
Everett, Washington

Notice - I recently sold all my budgies, breeding and exhibiting equipment. I still participate in local activities, am no longer breeding nor exhibiting. If you have questions you can contact me for referrals or information. However I do not have birds available for sale. I have left up most of my information for review.

Eastmont Aviary is the American Budgerigar Society (ABS) registered name for my Exhibition Budgerigar Aviary. Along with membership in the ABS, I am also a member of the Washington Budgerigar Society (WBS). My band number is 28S.

For information on any of these clubs email me:

I advanced to Champion exhibitor status in 2002 after two years of exhibiting as an intermediate. Two of my qualifying wins were with Lutinos which I consider something of an accomplishment.

I have the aviary set up in our converted garage. Previously I was using a small portion of our store room but that didn't provide any room for expansion as more birds joined the flights. Using the garage as the aviary gives me about 5 times the floor space. In early 2006 I took out 3 smaller flights and replaced them with a 16'L x 7'H x 4W' flight. My goal was to provide the birds a lot more space to be active and fly in than was provided by the smaller flights. So far it seems to be meeting that goal, the birds appear to be much more active. And they use the whole flight, flying back and forth regularly. There is also a smaller flight 4' x 3' x 2' which is used as a temporary facility for weaned birds not quite ready to compete with adults in a regular flight. My primary flights are home made. In 2002, I converted my breeding set up to divided breeding cages from Quality Cage Company of Portland, Oregon. With these I now have the ability to run up to 20 pair at any one time.

I try to put recent photos of my aviary, birds and set-up on the web site every so often. If you'd like to check out these photos check out my photo page. Keep in mind that this page is all photos and could take some time to download.

Keep an eye out on this page for updates and changes as the seasons progress.

You can find links to other bird clubs and sources on my links page.

copyright © 2000-2009I currently exhibit in the Champion and Rare divisions. In the rare division I mainly work with Crested, Clearwings and Lacewings. With the normal varieties, my birds are evenly split between Red eyes (Albinos and Lutinos), and the Green series birds with a few blue series birds thrown in., Chester V.
