The St James Choral
Group completed their 21st year of Lenten presentations in 2009. Approximately 133 members have made
up the group since 1989.
During these 21 years,
the group has performed 176 performances in 68 different cities/towns for more than 37,815 people. The group
has logged over 9091 miles all over Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan (including 20 nautical miles).
The group presented it's
150th performance on Good Friday, 2005 at St. James.
The funding for the St.
James Choral Group has come from the generous free will offerings of the audience members at the churches and schools that
have hosted them.
Each year the group contributes
proceeds above their expenses to local charities and families in need. This year, a portion of the proceeds
will also help build much needed schools in Haiti--through a local organization.
This presentation makes
it possible for adults and children alike to walk through Jesus' Last Days, the agony and the triumph, from Palm
Sunday through Easter, from Jesus' point of view.
