Record boat ramps from the top center of the ramp, parking lots at fleet offices, boat stores, etc. from the center of the parking lot.
If your GPSr supports position averaging, please average the position for at least two minutes. (More is better.)

Often, mapping software will not show all roads close to the river.
In this case, switch your GPSr to the compass page and use the pointer to find the waypoint.
If your GPSr autoroutes,switch from autorouting to the "off road" setting to get the compass arrow to give you a true reading to the waypoint.
