This is my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 3.0L Mercedes built CDI diesel engine. The Jeep has 13000 miles on it and
has been giving a really solid 19-20 mpg in town. Best on the highway so far has been 24 and I have gotten 20 mpg pulling
my 1700 lb. popup trailer at 60 mph. The overall average fuel economy for 12500 miles was 19.7 mpg. Lowest measured mpg was
17 highest is 24, right on the EPA averages.
This is my "new" 2004 Jetta TDI. It was purchased used with 77,456 miles on it (currently at 90,800). Color is gold and
it has ABS, power door locks, power windows, PS,and ESP. Car runs great and so far is averaging in the mid 40's as far as
mpg is concerned. This is my daily driver in my commute and uses biodiesel that I make in my garage (see biodiesel page).
No modifications thus far but it is still early in our relationship ;^)
