US Air Force 1947-1954, assignment in 1953-54 serving on committee that wrote the JANAP (Joint Army, Navy, Air Force Procedure manual) for automated tape relay. (Cutting edge technology in Teletype communications at the time). I didn't care for the military life but found that I loved writing.

Confronting an intruder in his home in Florida, Martin Lovett ultimately discovers that the intruder was the father of a child who had been kidnapped and killed thirty years earlier in Oklahoma. Because of some sketchy evidence that Martin was possibly involved with that crime, the father was apparently seeking vengeance, or perhaps just answers.

Once again aging Marty is drawn from peaceful retirement back into the seedy realm of his past. You see, Martin Lovett is also an efficient and remorseless killer. Lies and deceit become the norm as Marty juggles his two very different lives.His concept of justice may not conform to that of the society in which we live.
