Missing Richard is a classic rock band, but that's where the "normalcy" ends. Choosing many intricate and challenging
songs that most classic rock bands would shy away from, this band surprises even the most skeptical listener.
Some covered artists are Aerosmith, The Guess Who,
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kansas, Bad Company,
Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Boston, The Stones
and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young - just to name a few...
The variety and popularity of the songs,
iced with the adept lead vocals and harmonies, make Missing Richard one of the area's most exciting and talented bands.
Over the past 25 years (yes, that's a long time!)
most of the members of Missing Richard
have played together in several bands.
All that time has lead to some serious bonds,
personally and musically. The only evidence you need
is to hear and see them perform...

Jeanine Scarpato: She don't need no stinking ABCs!

Ruby_Jades_11-8-08_049.jpg

It all started for Jeanine at the tender age of 5, when her father unscrupulously held her beloved guitar for ransom in exchange for Jeanine finally agreeing to learn her ABCs. And although we're not sure the ABCs sunk in, the music did. Jeanine played in several bands over the years such as The Citations, Change Of Heart and Crazy Suzan. When she's not playing out, Jeanine makes her living at
a major car dealership's bodyshop,
 breathing in dust and noxious
paint fumes as she slaves
away for The Man.

Cherie Steis: The "Quiet" One...

DON'T DELETE

Surely the most even-keeled of the bunch, Cherie usually prefers to just stand back and watch as the other XX-chromosome carriers in the band make fools of themselves. As a child, Cherie was awestruck  when she first saw the Sonny And Cher Show on TV. It was then her mission to, in fact, become Cher. Cherie spent some time in another band, Last Time Around, before being abducted by the Crazy Suzan/Missing Richard crew. Cherie works for the government during the day, so she gets lots of days off!

Karen "Tig" Green:    40 something year old kid...

TIGNEWPROFILE.jpg

Tig, as most people know her, started playing bass at the request of her father at age 11. This was to complete a "family band" that played 90% country music. At that age, however, Tig was bored to near death and focused her attention on bassist Danny Bonaduce of the Partridge Family, even though nowdays she would rather have wood slivers driven up under her fingernails than admit that. Tig also played and sang in the Citations, Change Of Heart and Crazy Susan. During the days she works at the local Harley-Davidson dealership, slobbering all over the new bikes...

John Scarpato:    He's not usually a jealous man...

Ruby_Jades_11-8-08_211.jpg

When just a boy, John dragged his feet when it came to practicing his guitar. That is, until little sister Jeanine started playing (after learning her ABCs, of course!) and getting some much-sought-after attention and local fame! John quickly changed his tune (ugh......) and jumped into the action. John was there for the girls in Crazy Suzan, too. Thankfully, he is the voice of reason for us! John also plays with his church band and at coffee shops when he's not rockin' the nights with Missing Richard.

Russ Leonardi:   "I can't see so good, damn it!"

DON'T DELETE

"Really?!"  Russ keeps us laughing with his Jerky Boys impersonations and those amusing little quirks that seem to affect most drummers! But that's a compliment. We just need to get him a mic so our fans can appreciate it, also! Russ is our own personal token right-wing conservative. Every band should have one.   He is originally from Jersey, playing the Jersey Shore bar circuit in the 70's and 80's, and was one of the most highly regarded studio drummers in the area. Russ teaches percussion at his home studio.
