China's Information and Facts:

China’s government states that there are approximately 500,000 orphans in China, but many humanitarian groups think that number is closer to 2 million.  Most of these children are girls due to the one child per family law in cities and two per family in rural areas.  Most have to leave their orphanage at age sixteen.  We have heard wonderful stories of orphanages, but have heard nightmarish ones about more rural orphanages as well.  No matter what their situation, these children need homes.

Children in China need loving families.  Here are some of their stories.

“Religion that God our Father Accepts as pure and Faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” James 1:27 (NIV)
