When traveling
to a foreign country it is important to make an attempt (for those who are phonically challenged) to learn at least
a few words of the country you are visiting. This effort shows the respect you
have for the culture and their language. It does make a difference in how you
are treated. We have seen this. It gave us a general ability to at least determine
some of the subject matter being discussed around us.
