As of March 1, 2005; the art of S. James Buchanan is being shown at Pages & Light, 431 Main Street,
Boswell, Pennsylvania. Phone (814) 629-5758 for business hours. Pages & Light is
quite a unique shop housed in a Church dating to 1863. Original art and photography has been added to to the stock of
used books, records and collectibles. Pages & Light has a comfortable reading area with a cappuccino bar for the browsing
customer.
About The Artist:
S. James Buchanan, though being exposed to the arts at an early age, is a self taught artist. Although
he works primarily in watercolor, he will use whatever media that best captures the mood of his subject. Other medias
used include acrylics, oils, pen & ink, and silverpoint drawings. He believes art to be the most important form of self-expression
and uses this as a catalyst for his paintings. The works of S. James Buchanan can be found in private and corporate collections
throughout the United States. Prints of some of his pen & ink drawings have been used in fund raising efforts for wildlife
rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
