President Dwight Eisenhower created the People–to-People initiative in 1956 that led to the formation of Sister Cities International organization. American cities were asked to partner with other communities around the world to bring people together
directly and form personal bonds that would transcend world politics. Sister City organizations directly link communities
around the globe. Formal agreements between over 1000 U.S. cities and more than 1,500 foreign communities have formed strong
affiliations that support the free exchange of ideas and goodwill.
The Saline Lindenberg Sister City Organization is a wonderful way
for anyone in the Saline school district to become involved in your city and the global community.
We invite you to visit us or attend an event. Our members are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the Saline Lindenberg Sister City Organization and
how you can join.
