Jim Ducken/ Keyboards,
Guitar, Vocals. Music has always been a part of Jim's life. His parents loved listening to music and had the stereo
playing most of the time, so he and his family grew up surrounded by music. Athletics dominated his early life, but inspired
by his older brother Curt, who played drums in local rock bands, and encouraged by a friend who played guitar, Jim studied
classical piano and music composition and theory in college and later started playing guitar in rock bands too.
Curtis
Ducken/ Drummer and Percussionist. A born drummer, Curt began banging on pots and pans as soon as he could
hold a spoon. He played drums in junior high school, played in his first rock band at age thirteen and continued to
play in bands throughout high school. After playing for three years in the U. S. Army Band, he went on to earn his B.A.
in Music Education and has been teaching in public schools for over twenty years. Curt has recently retired from
teaching and is now attending Renton Technical College and is in the Band Instrument Repair Technology program under the instruction
of Daryl Hickman. If you need a band instrument repaired: He
is the dude!
Stu Grovdahl/ Bass and vocals. Coming from a musical family,
Stu was exposed to many styles of music throughout his formative years and there inherited his love of music. Stu started
out playing rhythm and lead guitar and eventually moved on to his favorite instrument, the bass guitar. He has played
country, folk, and rock music in various bands since high school. Stu's primary aim has aways been to have fun with
his music, and with the band "TimePiece", he fulfills that purpose.
