The Dances

When I ask a new student what dances they want to learn, I often see a glazed look come over their eyes and the first dance name they can recall come out of their mouth.
I know how cool Emmitt, Mario, and Benji have made the Quickstep and the Paso Doble  look.
These are great dances, but not usually the ones you should start out with.  This music isn't played socially, so you will still be setting down at the dance.

Depending on your favorite music, what makes you tap your foot and feel engerize, is a good place to start.  From here, I can show you what dances fit your music.
I strongly suggest you start with at least 4 dances....2 slow, 2 fast.  One dance helps another dance as they are all interelated.  This causes  you to learn faster and be more popular at the dances.
The down side of this is that you won't get to drink very much, you will have women grabbing you to dance, and you will lose weight and tone up.

This is a list of the most popular dances world wide. There are many other dances that would be called speciality style instead of social style.  I like to  KISS ( keep it simply silly) and I am going to only list the dances which are the same world wide.
