Early Morning Rain acoustic blues from Richy Kicklighter

| About Richy Kicklighter |
| Writes and plays blues , jazz, worldbeat,
new age, reggae, r&b, and funk. Richy is known for his soulful and melodic guitar style . He plays both acoustic and electric
and writes and produces his own music. Richy Kicklighter has 9 cds released on the jazz, blues and new age formats that have
charted and received airplay on radio and tv internationally. Richy got a start with the Delrays band playing r&b and
soul and worked with Rufus Thomas, Eddie Floyd, Bo Diddley, Little Johnny Taylor, Pigmeat Markum, Willy Hightower and more.
After a few years with the Delrays he meant Sammy Lawhorn while jammimg with the Muddy Waters band, Sammy moved to Florida
and Richy and Sammy played together in the Jukes blues band for a year or so from there Richy moved to New York city and worked
with Tom Doucette former harmonica player for the Allman Bros. band. After New York City Richy moved to Macon Georgia where
he played and jammed with everyone from the Allman bro. band to various members of James Brown and Otis Redding bands. Richy
then joined T.S.S. for Talton, Stewart and Sandlin (Capricorn records), featuring Tommy Talton of Cowboy, Johnny Sandlin (Capricorn
producer) and Bill Stewart Capricorn session drummer and featured Neil Larsen on piano. Moving to Atlanta Richy helped put
together the legendary r&b/blues band Cool Breeze with singer Bill Sheffield. Cool Breeze was a leader on the blues circuit
doing the east coast from New York to Florida and sharing the bill with Stevie Ray Vaughn, Room Full Of Blues, Night Hawks,
Average White Band, Dixie Dreggs, John Hammond and many more. While living in Atlanta Richy was invited to join the Instigators
reggae/blues/r&b/jazz group in Florida. Moving to Sarasota he played with the Instigators for about 8 years doing shows
with Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, Third World and many more. While playing with the Instigators Richy was invited to write
and play for Willie Royals(jazz violin) first cd which led to Richy signing his first record contract with Ichiban records
in Atlanta. Just For Kicks, released in 1987 on the Ichiban label, was an immediate favorite with contemporary jazz radio,
and climbed quickly on Gavin and R&R radio charts. With the release of his second Ichiban recording, his soulful and unique
guitar voice and originality in songwriting and melody made his name synonymous with good contemporary jazz music. King's
Highway was released in the spring of 1992 on the Japanese Polystar label and reached 4 on the Japanese billboard charts.
Produced by Richy and Sonny Abelardo King's Highway featured an allstar band with Neil Larsen, Jimmy Earl, Bubba Bryant, Lenny
Castro and Joe Sample. In 1994 Myakka also on the Polystar label, was released with another allstar band featuring Jimmy Earl,
Sonny Emory, Lenny Castro, Neil Larsen and Richard Elliott and produced by Richy and Sonny Abelardo. These recordings did
very well in Japan as well as the U.S. and led to several compilation cds in the U.S. and Japan with artist like John
Denver , Christopher Cross , Jody Watley , Gerald Albright, Roy Ayers and Smokey Robinson . In 1998 Richy
wrote and produced One Sun One Moon, his first new age cd which has just been rereleased and is possibly his biggest seller.
It is a nonstop musical adventure with a train and sounds mixed with exotic acoustic guitar, piano, pedal steel, percussion
and more. Richy started his Midnight Pass Music label to provide him with a way to produce his music and ideas and at this
time Midnight Pass Music has 5 cds available by Richy:Early Morning Rain (blues ) Unknown, Moving Skies, One Sun One Moon
and Richy Kicklighter Live, with 2 more cds in production and soon to be released. Currently his new cds Early Morning Rain(blues)
Unknown and Moving Skies (smooth jazz) One Sun One Moon (new age) and Richy Kicklighter Live are on his own label, Midnight
Pass Music. Moving Skies was picked in the top 15 of 2005 on Sky fm radio, and has received many outstanding reviews. He also
has a song on the new Wishbone Ash cd, Clan Destiny. Midnight Pass Music and Richy Kicklighter have a new blues/jazz cd and
a blues cd expected for release 2008. | |

EARLY MORNING RAIN , ACOUSTIC BLUES INSTRUMENTAL BY RICHY KICKLIGHTER CLICK ON LINK TO HEAR SAMPLES AND BUY
Early Morning Rain started with a couple of songs I had composed for fun and posted to some music websites. Next thing
I know a few radio stations and websites uploaded some of the songs and put them on the radio and reviewed them well.
People like the very laid back casual on the porch by the fire kind of feel. I recorded these one take, no overdubs here's
the blues as real as it gets..

smooth jazz , r&b featuring Neil Larsen,Willie Royal, Patrick Bettison,Gumbi Ortiz and some of the best players in
the Tampa bay area. Several songs on this cd have made some top 10 charts and top choice of the year on a couple of radio
stations. One big favorite is See Ya.
UNKNOWN , JAZZ R&B INSTRUMENTAL BY RICHY KICKLIGHTER , CLICK ON LINK TO HEAR SAMPLES AND BUY
This is the latest smooth jazz r&b recording released on Midnight Pass and features once again the best of Tampa
bay players. We really took some time recording this trying to get some real playing without many overdubs, some of my takes
were melody and solo one take all the way through. Brandon Sommers who played keyboards and co produced sat through
many hours of solo's while I kept reaching deep for the right feel.

ONE SUN ONE MOON , NEW AGE FOLK SOUNDSCAPE WITH SOUNDS OF NATURE AND TRAINS BY RICHY KICKLIGHTER , CLICK ON LINK TO HEAR

This originaly was a childrens idea I had but it changed during recording and became the journey of a train and some
of the sounds along the way through one day one night, One Sun One Moon. It has turned out to be a huge seller and has a very
healing and relaxing quality that appeals to everyone. The muscians that played on this did an incredible job because
much of the playing was improvising on the moods, painting pictures in sound. I got a review on one song on this cd that is one
of the nicest reviews I've ever gotten, author unknown
review of Train Song from One Sun One Moon
This is by far the highest rating I've given to any BroadJam review I've done, and I am EXTREMELY "picky". I can't say
enough good things about this music. This artist NEEDS TO BE SIGNED if not already, if the rest of his/her music is this good!
This is the first review song I've listened to more than twice in a row (I'm on the 4th listen as I write this). The instrumentation,
sound fx, recording quality, shared melody hooks between instruments - everything are outstanding. Very suprising use of steel
guitar sounds that "sneak" in every now and then unexpectedly that compliment VERY nicely. There may be slight country music
influence here, but it's ALL GOOD. I love the little snippets of piano licks that come in as echoing compliments to the rest
of the music, and they do so without overpowering. Nice inventive chords! I WILL seek out more music from this artist! I'd
love to hear this artist on XM Radio's "Audio Visions" (XM channel 77) which I listen to constantly, or John Diliberto's "Echoes".
I feel like I can say all of this from an "educated" standpoint because I am an award-winning composer and performer, and
have even been recognized by past presidents, vice presidents, and performed for tens of thousands of people in some of the
most prestigious venues in the world. What's with the train sound effect in the end? Cool. Unexpected, and rather than taking
away from the recording the train sound makes me wonder "what's around the next corner", making me want to hear more. I'm
jealous that my music isn't this good! ONE SUN ONE MOON

Dave Tick: Composer, pianist, keyboards, and a little pocket trumpet playing. Currently recording, writing and producing
as well as co-owner of internet radio station: midnightpassradio.com with Richy Kicklighter, broadcasting great music
from independent artists around the world. One of the founding members of Some of My Best Friends, an original Jazz-Funk
R&B band from Amherst Mass. 1972-1975 with some memorable performing moments including opening for Earth Wind &
Fire and Muddy Waters.

ModernisTick Fusion is just that... a fusing together of jazz, funk, rock, R&B, and hip-hop. It has always been
my intention (as a composer, keyboardist, and producer) to create something different. This CD is the result of more
than a two year evolution of writing and recording that included three former demo cds (Ticked Off, Still Ticking, and
LunaTick). It should be noted that the resulting "fusion" could not have been achieved without the incredible contributions
of Dave Milne on sax, Richy Kicklighter (my awesome partner of Midnight Pass Radio) on guitar, Craig Hlady on guitar,
Rico Spence on bass, and Jacques Raymond on bass... as well as other friends.
