After 30 some years about 30 of us veterans of Uss Springfield CLG-7 found each other and had our first reunion ,  it was like only yesterday we were all sailing the Med and hitting all those wonderful foreign ports of call.  We will attempt to remember those years and gain new adventures together in the coming years. Thanks for visiting this web site.

                         Definition of a veteran

'A veteran - whether active duty, honorary discharge, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including their life.'

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
