Hello and welcome to my site! When I began college in 1980 I started teaching private piano.
I love children and feel that I am very experienced and skilled at being able to connect with and teach
them how to play, understand, enjoy and love music.
At first, I teach the basics, (note reading, music theory, technic, chords, etc.). I
try to cater to each individual no matter what their background or ability. My belief is that everyone can play
and enjoy music for a lifetime. I feel that I am successful at instilling a deep desire and love for playing music. (References
available).
It has been a lifelong goal of mine to learn everything I can about piano and music. I
started playing the piano when I was six and along the way have aquired a B.A. in Music from CSULB and a film scoring certificate
from UCLA along with studying and practicing
piano tuning and repair for two years. At ten, I started playing guitar.
My joy is in teaching music. I am currently the District Accompanist for Paramount Unified School District:
http://paramount.k12.ca.us and also play piano at the 5 PM Saturday Mass at Holy Family Church in the city of Artesia, CA.
I hope to have the privilege of teaching your child or yourself! Recitals are given but not
necessary.
