Ever since the
first festival, 6 years ago, firefighters have been acquiring old helmets and custom painting them for the event. Some are
simple and others have been pretty intricate in their design. Last year we started the tradition of having a helmet professionally
painted and then raffled off. This year we will give it away as a door prize for coming to the dinner. The helmet
was donated by 5 alarm fire and is a Cairns 660c Metro style lid. The paint was done by our own Shawn Sarrazin and he was assisted by a talented
young man by the name of Eric Wilson. Shawn started with a Pearl Green base coat and accented it with dark and light green
flames and then finished it off with a gold leaf shamrock and "FIRE DEPT" lettering.

Remember, the only way to win this helmet is to buy a dinner ticket!
