Smith Rock Oregon
 
Located in Central Oregons high desert near the town of Terrebonne. Its sheer cliffs of tuff and basalt are ideal for rock climbing. Smith Rock is generally considered to be the birthplace of Americas sport climbing. In addition to miles of hiking trails many movies and several westerns have been filed there including the John Wayne and Katharine Hepburn film Rooster Cogburn.
