I Die, You Soar is probably the most depressing disc I have ever heard. The songs are depressing, hopeless and full of despair. The vocals express pain and anguish in a way that I have never heard before and have yet to hear again. Even the picture of the singer (Martin Karlsson) is depressing as his eyes gaze into nothing as if dwelling on the hopelessness of life. I can count numerous quotes from these songs that exude despair...

"Suffering and love seem to have the same face"

"Crush all my faith, sorrow turns to hate
Please don't leave me here, please don't save my life"

"And she makes me cry and crumble like a child
I will no more, endure this rape so wild"

"Everyone's watching but still I die, you soar
Although I am gone, a leechrope found, but still you soar"

and on and on....and these are just off the top of my head.

The music is mid to slow placed and atmospheric metal with some keyboards and interludes of piano and background piano behind crunchy riffs. Man is it depressing...I love it.

If you enjoy depressing music like I do or like to listen to it only when you are feeling downed..this is the disc for you. It seems very personal in it's topics and delivery. It is not poppy like To Die For or Entwine or over the top as Sentenced in the suicide way...just a very dark, depressing disc whose haunting melodies, atmospheres and lyrics will course through you and emit the emotions of depression that you may or may not desire....

Favorites: All of them...

The only reason this is not a 100/100 for me is the last songs contains some deathy vocals......so close to perfection for this style....
