This is how you do a solid gothic-rock album. Lot's of crunchy and relatively heavy guitars... nothing real complex, just lots of catchy and radio-friendly (3-4 minute)songs. If you'd like a rock n'roll verion of To Die For, Entwine and the like, then this album is right up your alley (as it is mine).

This is the debut of their new singer, Tanja. Don't know anything about her except the fact that she is an improvement over their previous one. She seems to have a much smoother and softer voice but can still sing with some power to match the crunchy riffs. The last one would irritate sometimes with a somewhat grating voice that just didn't sit too well with me...I was considering passing on their new one until I heard the new singer....I posted on the discussion boards here how impressed I was and just couldn't wait to get it.

This was recorded at Finnvox studios in their native of Finland and has some top notch production. If you are into this style...get it. If you are curious about this style, I would recommend this to a newbie who would like to get a feel for what gothic rock should be.

Favorites: Alright Tonight, Don't Touch the Flame, Unchain, Heart of Darkness
