Finally, a good Cryonic Temple CD. I
heard the first two after they had come out and was completely turned off to what they were doing. In Thy Power
is finally something worth talking about. Is it the second coming of power metal? No. But it is decent unto itself.
A double-bass fest, a few mid-paced thumpers and the obligatory hail to
metal and the gods themselves. If that doesn't immediately turn you off, you'll find a few songs on here worth listening
to. There are some forgettable tracks on here but some good, catchy ones as well. Top-notch production, some quality
guitar work and a vocalist reminiscent of Steve Grimmet of Grim Reaper (self-proclaimed on the CD insert and webpage...and
it is true) and you got yourself a decent disc with a few duds.
