Man....these guys really want to be HIM....my
fiance actually thought it was for a moment. From this statement, you probably realized MiW play goth pop/rock with
a glam influence and appearence (which is NOT a good thing).
Malice is led by vocalist Chri$ Wicked (who writes 90% of the music) with
an array of interesting looking pretty boys....but can they play. Actually, yes. Nothing groundbreaking in the
simple world of goth where all you need are some nice hooks, hopeless lyrics and a teeny-bopper fan base, but actually enjoyable
nonetheless. Initially, I must say, I was quite turned off by their sound as it was very much like HIM (whom I really
like), but after a few spins, I noticed that I was tapping my toe and enjoying the tunes.
As long as I don't have to look at them, it is an enjoyable disc but falls
into the 'heard that before' world of unoriginality.
