I had never heard Evidence One until about 5 months ago.  On the Power Zone discussion board, somebody mentioned this band/album and that it was good.  Because it was Melodic Hard Rock, I kind of dismissed it until I was shopping on-line and needed to order one more disc to get a free one from The End Records... so I added this to the order.  Let me just say, I have no idea what else I ordered that day because this one blew me away.

Usually, this style has always turned me off as I always thought it was a little too cheesy for me.  The only other melodic hard rock band that I liked was Pink Cream 69 and no other had done anything for me, but this album is incredible.  Every song contains great hooks and has some very addicting choruses.  The worst song on here is an above average song...I never seem to skip any tracks when I listen to this... even the bonus track is killer!!!!

All the songs have a mid-pace speed to them and change rhythms enough to keep you interested.  The guitar work, to me, is fantastic.  No ridiculous shredding or anything, just enjoyable and well-played.  Bass and drums are well-played but the thing that puts it over the top for me is the vocalist "Lizard."
Mid-ranged, dripping with strength and just fits the songs extremely well.  Hard to describe for me for some reason, I just really like his voice.  He is the only reason I bought the new Domain album...that is okay but his singing is just stellar!

This album may make me expand into the melodic rock doman again...the latest Starbreaker is helping as well :)
