No need for an introduction, we all know Sentenced
so i won't bore you with history etc. My first introduction was a blind purchased of Crimson, my favorite by
them, followed by aquiring Frozen and Down and then the two last releases. I never went back further
because I am not a big fan of their earlier style.
As you know, this is their last album together as Sentenced and I am happy
to say, it is a quality release to go out on. Lyrically, it is spot on with what we have come to expect from
Sentenced and it is as catchy as ever. All the songs are good (save for Where Waters Fall Frozen, which is
truely annoying) and enjoyable to listen to repeatedly, there are just no killer songs a la Killing Me..., Bleed in My
Arms, Home in Despair, The Suicider..and a few others. I am certainly not disappointed with this at all.. it is
a good album..just nothing point to as the cream of the crop...End of the Road does come close...maybe in time.
I would love for Sentenced to continue on and make album after album,
but better this way than making a bunch of sub-par albums. I wish
the guys good fortune and many, many projects where the Sentenced sound can slip through to our ears.
