Thunderstone returns with their third release
and again...my third time trying to like them. I bought their debut based on a description somewhere...you know when
they say an album is for fans of.....Helloween, Strat, BG..etc... so I bought is and was like totally indifferent about it.
I didn't hate it or really like it. When their second one, The Burning, was released...I bought and whammo....the
same reaction. I figured I was done with Thunderstone, then I saw the video for Tool of the Devil and thought...that
sounds cool...so I bought the album.
So here I am again, wondering why I don't hate or like another Thunderstone
album. There is just something missing from these guys or there is something I am just not getting. Production
is nice, the vocalist is limited but okay...the songs just dont do anything for me.
Mostly mid-paced stuff...no screaming double-bass assaults or anything.
If you have any idea why, please let me know. Nothing is really grabbing me.
