Take a little Sentenced, some Katatonia and mix in a little Paradise Lost for good
measure and you got yourself The Eternal. Not as good as any of the three, but decent enough. It also, at times,
reminds me of Madrigal.
The music, dark and brooding, reflect melancholy and hoplessness in the stilfing music,
desperate (clean & mid-ranged) vocals and heavy with a dreary atmosphere. The problem is, some of the songs seem
to (s)lumber on and on. I know it is for mood, but tends to get a little redundant. Also, some of the songs are
just kind of...eh, but the good songs are really good for the style.
Anyhoo, check em out if you are into this depressing style...it's decent.
