Took me forever to get this.  Ahh...the joys of living in Florida, USA.

Lullacry is back with their 4th album (hence the title) and the second with vocalist Tanja.  If you do not know Lullacry, they are a female fronted Finnish rock-n-roll band.  The vocals are not operatic, the music is not atmospheric, symphonic, gothic..there are no death vocals to counter the female vocals.. it is straight up rock-n-roll.  Now is it done well?

I think so.  the songs are straight forward and Tanja sings it with something of an 'in you face" attitude.  Look at the first line of the single Fire Within, "You're not even worth the finger I gave you", is that classic or what?  The speed of the songs range from slow to mid-paced to fast.  For those that hate them (not me): BALLAD WARNING. Topically, the lyrics deal with love, hate, obsession, pain and anger amongst others.

The production is great, songs kick-ass and slow ones are decent as well.  There just is not a 'hit' on this one as their last one ("Don't Touch the Flame"), some real good ones, but nothing as radio-friendly as the one mentioned.  Not a bad thing, escept for record sales.

The only knock, is occasionally Tanja sounds a little nasally in her vocal delivery...it seems to corrolate with how pissed off she is in the song.

Almost as good as their last disc.

Favorites:  Love Lust Desire, I Want You, King of Pain, Stranger in You
