Interesting Size, Shapes and colors:

 

Angelica:  tall umbiliferous biannual (removing flowers before plant seeds will ensure another growing season).

 

 

 Jerusalem Artichoke: tall plant with yellow flowers.  The roots of this plant are edible.  Not related to the globe artichoke commonly eaten.

 

 

 

Black Eyed Susan: Yellow flowers.  It is a North American Native.

 

Pineapple Sage:  This tender salvia is hardy only to Zone 4.  In one season it can grow to two feet, beautiful red flowers.  The leaves do smell like pineapple.  It must winter indoors in. northern climates.

 

 

Echinacea: Usually purple flowers but yellow and white forms exist.  It is a North American Native.

 

Evening Primrose:  Has yellow flowers with plant grows 3-5 foot.  Plant (oil) used as herbal remedy for PMT.
