Pets

Avoid plants that place your pets at risk.

We have a few cats.  They are housecats and don't get to go out (very often).  They enjoy herbs as house plants and it seems to provide them with a sensuous experience.

Sometimes the cats can be destructive on the whole they don't do too much damage.

We grow catnip, most of the cats love it, one ignores it.  Catnip initially induces manic behaviour but then acts as a sedative.  It can be a good way to prepare a cat for a trip.

This is a very detailed text on pets and herbs.  Fascinating, but as for humans, we think there is no substitute for professional medical expertise.

This book is an easier read, less comprehensive and cat specific.  There are a fair number of similar dog and horse herb books stocked by Amazon.  Amazon is our favorite book supplier (for online shopping) - prices tend to be cheaper and stock quickly available.

Somtimes it is possible to find books listed on ebay or overstock.com at far cheaper prices, but then you are dependant on the seller.  We are very good!!!!!  Our ebay ID is stu4brass!

If you have never tried ebay before, it can be great.  We do have another site, that supports our interest in antiques and ebay activities.  Anyway, this is getting off topic, if you are interested:
