Covers over 380,000 documents published by the U.S. government and its agencies. Coverage is 1976 to the present.

PAIS – Public Affairs Information Service

This database is primarily oriented toward public policy, it also has valuable material on international economics, comparative economics, political economy, developing economics, etc.

Ingenta

A multidisciplinary database that includes articles in technology and engineering. In indexes 27,000 journal titles. The database contains both some full-text and abstracts.

This is a premier index for business and management periodical literature. ABI/Inform is also an excellent resource for researching current economic conditions, economic indicators, and the like. Over 800,000 citations dating back to 1971. Some Full Text.

EBSCO Publishing

This database includes Academic Search Elite, which provides full text for over 1,250 journals, Business Source Elite, which provides full text for over 960 journals, Newspaper Source which provides selected full text articles from 143 U.S. and international newspapers, Health Source Plus, which provides full text for nearly 270 health periodicals, over 1,000 health pamphlets, and 23 health reference books, Advice for the Patient, which provides patient-oriented drug information in lay language and over 7,000 reports, in every-day language, describing symptoms, treatments, risks, and after-effects of a vast array of medical topics and conditions. A subdivision of the Lexis-Nexis database, Academic Universe has several components: it has news section that covers more than 20 years. ScienceDirect

Science Direct provides access to the full text of more than 320 journals published by Elsevier Science. Articles are generally available from 1995 forward. Please note that Northern does not subscribe to all of the journals within Science Direct.
