“A British flag on that web page indicates a link to the English language version. Produced by the UB/TIB University/Technical Information Library, University of Hanover, Germany. ViFaTec is the new engineering subject gateway service from the UB/TIB Hannover.  A 1995 article describes the UB/TIB, i.e., the University Library / Technical Information Library of the University of Hanover in Germany.1  (ViFaTec is the short form of the German title “Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Technik” which translates as the “virtual library for technology” or the “technology virtual library.”)  In June 2002 the UB/TIB announced its ViFaTec gateway officially at the IATUL (International Association of Technical University Libraries) annual conference held at the Linda Hall Library and the University of Missouri, Kansas City.” [De Petro, 2003].
