One of the most famous streets in America is Beale Street, home to numerous blues clubs and restaurants. At night it is closed off to traffic and visitors stroll up down visiting many famous blues music venues.
 
Marc Cohn put it best in his song "Walking In Memphis" when he sings in the chorus
 
"Then I'm walking in Memphis
Walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale....."
