Professional Considerations
What can you expect from Sawa-Lad's?
- Professionalism- We are happy to
have you as a client. We'll do our best to provide you with the best product possible, in a most professional manner.
We'd like you to consider us for your editing needs again and again.
- Value- Your success means our success.
As such, we are thorough. Occasionally, our knowlege of certain subject matters enables a deeper critique,
which may allow you to submit a more professional, more complete work product. We hope that you find this
value-added service an invaluable tool to completing all your writing projects.
- Timeliness- We answer all correspondence in
a fast, friendly manner. We will also put our best, good faith efforts into completing your projects within the
specified time period-- usually within three days for standard articles, short stories, and college research papers.
- Your needs come come first. Your
deadlines matter to us! If we foresee that we cannot complete your project on time, we will not accept it. This
will allow you enough time to pursue an alternate plan.
- Privacy- Generally, your submissions to
us are completely confidential. We do not share names, email addresses, or any other identifying information with
anyone. Your documents are confidential. Exceptions to this policy exist:
- (1) when we are required to
cooperate with law enforcement in a police investigation;
- (2) when threats of harm or
death to third persons are implicated by the author's work, the threat is reasonably understood to be real and the harm
is reasonably understood to be imminent; and
- (3) in attempts to collect
unpaid debt as evidence of work completed on the writer's document.
We will not:
- Write your book for you. There
are several ghostwriting services available to better handle your writing needs. We do, however, write press releases,
biographies, resumes, and cover letters.
- Charge you needlessly. We may
discount your submission if your paper is what we deem to be flawless (or nearly so). Keep in mind, however, that we
spend time reading each and every submission- even the "perfect" ones. So we will not usually return your fee in
full.
- Knowingly participate in fraud or any crime.
Our editing services are performed in good faith. Unless told otherwise, we expect that the documents are
the original works of the submitters. If a document is submitted in a manner we find questionable, we
will reject the submission.
- Edit offensive material. We are
strong advocates of an individual's First Amendment rights. However, we will refuse to edit material
that we deem to have "crossed the line" into hate speech.
- Edit high school assignments. We
do not knowingly accept high school homework assignments or other submissions of minors.
