Art Clay is a clay-like substance made of very fine particles of
fine silver (.999 silver) held together with a clay-like binder. I form my jewelry, then let the "clay" dry.
When it is dry I sand it, file or carve it as desired, then fire it with a torch or in my kiln. The binder burns
off, leaving behind a jewelry piece of fine silver.
After firing the piece needs more finish work such as brushing, tumbling, drilling, filing, burnishing,
antiquing, and polishing before it is added to a finished jewelry item.
