Jupiter and M4
While the moon has been in the way, I've only done a couple of early morning sessions. On the Milky Way page, I
added a pic of a globular cluster - you really can't imagine how many stars you are looking at but through the eyepiece you
get a better feel for it. I've also added my first half-way decent picture of Jupiter on the home page. The sky
was a little unsteady and it is getting closer so you will get to see better pictures in the future. Color ones too...

In Dark Skies
I added a new page called the Milky Way - our galaxy. I didn't get any "other" galaxy pictures due to the lack
of time and a dedicated electrical connection. I did get to see M81 (a spiral galaxy), M82 (the brightest galaxy in
the sky - both in Ursa Major) and several other galaxies (including the Siamese Twins). I concentrated on taking
some pictures of our Milky Way using my Olympus Camera (not taken through the telescope).

New MySpace site
Sorry not much new content lately. I went out of town twice and when I came back I found that my power adapter
for my telescope came apart and I had lost some pieces. Two new ones are on the way. This weekend we
go to West Texas and will hopefully have clear skies and no equipment failures!
The first trip was a weekend with my friends in NY. They had seen the lunar eclipse but I had clouds here in Tx.
The second trip was to the 3rd Annual Exploration Conference in Denver. I added a bit to the Moon Base page about it.
These are exciting times for NASA and our country.
In the interim, we have started a MySpace site. There is already a link from there to here so if you want to go
there click here http://www.myspace.com/astrofrost. Hope you enjoy that too!! The MySpace site will probably be more text-based and this will be more picture-based.
Oh, and Saturn has passed opposition (closest pass to Earth). Jupiter is next on the list (June opposition).
In the mean time - spring galaxies are coming!

This is an LRGB photo of Mars made on 12/21/07 05:52 GMT. It's centered near Eden but Syrtis Major is still
visible. I have an 11" SCT and used a monochrome Imaging Source USB 60 fps camera at f/25. I used Registax,
Photoshop and Maxim DL during processing. Thanks for visiting!
