One of the greatest threats to Liberty in the U.S. comes not from Muslim terrorists, but rather from radical Christian Fundamentalists.  The following quotes are straight from their own mouths.  (I couldn't possibly make this stuff up !)

"God in His law requires the death penalty for homosexuals."   --R.J. Rushdoony, Reconstructionist theologian, in a letter to Mel White

"Christianity is completely and radically anti-democratic; it is committed to spiritual aristrocracy."   --R.J. Rushdoony Reconstructionist theologian, from _The Religious Right: The Assault on Tolerance and Pluralism In America

"So let us be blunt: we must use the doctrine of religious liberty to gain independence for Christian schools until we train up a generation of people who know that there is no religious neutrality, no neutral law, no neutral education, and no neutral civil government. Then they will get busy in constructing a Bible-based social, political and religious order which finally denies the religious liberties of the enemies of God."   --Gary North, quoted in Albert J. Menendez, Visions of Reality: What Fundamentalist Schools Teach (Prometheus Books, 1993)

"The long-term goal of Christians in politics should be to gain exclusive control over the franchise. Those who refuse to submit publicly to the eternal sanctions of God by submitting to His Church's public marks of the covenant--baptism and holy communion--must be denied citizenship, just as they were in ancient Israel."   --Gary North, Political Polytheism: The Myth of Pluralism (Tyler, TX: Institute for Christian Economics, 1989), p. 87

I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!   -- Rev. Jerry Falwell, America Can Be Saved, 1979 pp. 52-53, from Albert J. Menendez and Edd Doerr, The Great Quotations on Religious Freedom

The Bible is the inerrant ... word of the living God. It is absolutely infallible, without error in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as well as in areas such as geography, science, history, etc.   -- Jerry Falwell, Finding Inner Peace and Strength

The idea that religion and politics don't mix was invented by the Devil to keep Christians from running their own country.   -- Rev. Jerry Falwell, Sermon, July 4, 1976

Planned Parenthood is teaching kids to fornicate, teaching people to have adultery, every kind of bestiality, homosexuality, lesbianism -- everything that the Bible condemns.   -- Pat Robertson, The 700 Club television program, April 9, 1991

"There will never be peace until God's house and God's people are given their rightful place of leadership at the top of the world. How can there be peace when drunkards, drug dealers, communists, atheists, New Age worshipers of Satan, secular humanists, oppressive dictators, greedy money changers, revolutionary assassins, adulterers, and homosexuals are on top...there is absolutely no way that government can operate successfully unless led by godly men and women operating under the laws of the God of Jacob."     -- Pat Robertson in his 1991 book The New World Order

We have enough votes to run the country. And when the people say, "We've had enough," we are going to take over.   -- Pat Robertson, speech given to the April, 1980 "Washington for Jesus" rally

On Tuesday May 31, news organizations reacting to a story in the sacrilegious publication Vanity Fair reported the identity of a confidential source used by un-American journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein. In attempting to deify the reporters and the source, W. Mark Felt, the mainstream media has given their approval to three men who have achieved nothing, and in the process destroyed the Presidency of the morally upright Richard Milhous Nixon. Men like this, who sought the downfall of this Christian nation, should be in prison rather than taking victory laps on the front page of every major newspaper.     --Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family Web Site

"Let a wave of intolerance wash over you. I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good.... If a Christian voted for Clinton, he sinned against God. It's that simple.... Our goal is a Christian Nation... we have a biblical duty, we are called by God to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want Pluralism. We want theocracy. Theocracy means God rules. I've got a hot flash. God rules."   --Randall Terry, Head of Operation Rescue,  in The News Sentinel, Ft Wayne, IN, Aug 15, 1993

"When I, or people like me, are running the country, you'd better flee, because we will find you, we will try you, and we will execute you. I mean every word of it. I will make it part of my mission to see to it that they are tried and executed... If we're going to have true reformation in America, it is because men once again, if I may use a worn out expression, have righteous testosterone flowing through their veins. They are not afraid of contempt for their contemporaries. They are not even here to get along. They are here to take over... Somebody like Susan Smith should be dead. She should be dead now. Some people will go, "Well how do you know God doesn't have a wonderful plan for her life?" He does, it's listed in the Bible. His plan for her is that she should be dead."   --Randall Terry, Operation Rescue,  Aug 8, 1995 U.S. Taxpayers Alliance Banquet, Washington DC,

A democracy is two wolves and a small lamb voting on what to have for dinner.  Freedom under a constitutional republic is a well armed lamb contesting the vote. ~ Benj. Franklin
