Letter to the Editor of the Intelligencer, "Top criterion: Accurate count," February 14, 2006

To the Editor:

Coalition for Voting Integrity

The long letter about voting systems selection from the Bucks County Commissioners' public relations office (Feb. 8) obscures the real issue.
It is simple. Voters first must be 100 percent certain that their votes are counted accurately. Why don't our County Commissioners make their No. 1 criterion the true, secure count of our vote, with reliable audit and recount capabilities?
That is their duty to us. Once the No. 1 criterion is met, then secondary criteria can be evaluated.
