To the Editor:
The two Republican Bucks County Commissioners,
Charles Martin and Jim Cawley should be ashamed for voting to buy improper electronic voting machines, setting the county
on an expensive and dangerous course.
Their recent vote to spend our tax
money to buy voting machines that won't provide a paper trail for verification is an invitation to fraud. The two commissioners
have ignored the justified concerns of Bucks County citizens and show no inclination to accommodate fears that, in today's
new world, electronics can be hacked into and altered.
If we are to continue to be a democracy
our elected officials need to show concern for the sanctity of the voting process, not blow off an organization such as the
Coalition for Voting Integrity, which recognizes a major future problem that the commissioners, by their vote, refuse to acknowledge.
