Massie Ritsch is the Communications Director for the Center for Responsive Politics, the nation’s premier research group tracking money in U.S. politics and its effect on elections and public policy. A former reporter for the Los Angeles Times, Mr. Ritsch oversees the Center’s original journalism and its frequent contact with the news media and others who rely on CRP’s computer-based research, nonpartisan analysis and its award-winning website, OpenSecrets.org. Before joining the organization in 2006, he was a communications strategist for a public affairs firm in Los Angeles, following nearly five years covering politics, education and other news for the Times. A native of Richmond, Virginia, he received a bachelor’s degree in politics from Princeton University
