Voice of the Voters

January 7, 2009

Summary

The Voice of the Voters radio broadcast of January 7, 2009, "The EAC: Where's the Assistance?", found host Lori Rosolowsky talking in depth about the Election Assistance Commission with John Gideon and Ellen Theisen of VotersUnite.org. Their discussion specifically revealed how the EAC is derelict in their duties to provide guidance for the provisions of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA). The conversation also covered the EAC's draft of a strategic plan for the next five years, and how they did little to unmuddy the waters surrounding provisional ballot usage and voting system requirements.

Prior to the EAC interview, Jim Strait cajoled the listeners in an effort to attract donations for the purpose of keeping Voice of the Voters on the air.

After the EAC interview, Jim Strait spoke with Sheri Myers of www.wakeupandsaveyourcountry.com, author of Cheated and co-author of Kudzu Effect. She spoke of Karl Rove's fingerprints being all over the creation of the EAC, HAVA, and their connections to the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED).

Closing the program was a brief interview with John Gideon, where he revealed a laundry list of lawsuits taking place in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland...the word of the night turned out to be litigation.
