Greetings, Plumstead Democrats and Friends!
Thanks to your votes and your support we took back Congress in 2006!
In 2006,
the Plumstead Democrats made a difference.
We blanketed the township with signs and showed that Democrats are alive and
well in Plumstead. We made phone calls, fully staffed the polls, sponsored
fundraisers, launched a door-to-door campaign in our developments, and got out the vote for Democratic candidates. The result: Congressman Patrick Murphy, Senator Bob Casey, and Governor Ed Rendell.
In 2007,
we brought change to Bucks County
government with the election of Commissioner Diane Marseglia and strong showings
for our row office candidates. We elected
Tom Alvaré as
Township Supervisor, who will promote a more environmentally sensitive agenda. And Helen Mitchell came close to joining Tom
on the board of supervisors.
Now we are working hard for the reelection of
Patrick Murphy to Congress and the election of Diane Allison for state representative and
Barack Obama for president!
We need your help,
in order to keep our progress going. Please take a few
minutes to join or renew your membership for 2008 now (below).
Come
to our monthly meetings; meet like-minded
neighbors; learn, plan and share the exciting events of the Democratic Party in Plumstead and surrounding communities. Meetings are the second Monday of the month (except during
the summer), at the Plumstead Township Municipal
Building,
5186 Stump Rd., Plumsteadville, at 7:30 PM.
