Free press mockery

To the Editor:

Your recent story on township supervisor benefits was the worst example of political pandering I have ever seen. To single out Plumstead Township Supervisor Tom Alvaré from among dozens of supervisors countywide, at the request of Plumstead Supervisor Vince Formica, made a mockery of the term “free press.” The two Republican supervisors who also receive health care were not even mentioned by name, while the sole Democrat was held up in a most negative light.

The bias shown by this Rovian piece of so-called “reporting” is stomach-churning. You have distorted the facts and slandered an honorable man to whom you should apologize.
