More people are moving from urban areas to DeKalb county and its small communities. One of the issues all of us will face in the years to come is the continually rising taxes and the lack of services to go along with them. I will look for ways to cut spending that seem to continually increase and work with officials to start using technology to bridge these gaps. Growth is here and it must be supported by a strong commercial and industrial tax base. Adding to our industrial tax base, which is our best opportunity to keep taxes reasonable, this is my number one goal for Cortland / Sycamore and all of DeKalb County. I will fight for businesses and business opportunities that create good jobs with living wages and benefits. As a trustee for the Town of Cortland I know change is not swift, however one must look to the future and plan responsibly so our communities remain strong.

Like many of you, I have chosen to raise my family in the Cortland-Sycamore area, because it is here that I believe they will learn the values and lessons that will guide them all their lives. I will work hard and diligently to ensure our quality of life remains good, our sense of community remains strong and our financial future always prosperous
