"Music, Sound and Science"
assembly performance
Your students will be delighted by this unique performance and inspired to learn more about the science of sound.
Musical instrument inventor Jody Kruskal performs on his original musical contraptions in a one hour performance that demonstrates
the principles of sound science. An entertaining and informative show that introduces the concepts of vibration, pitch, frequency
and amplitude, all explained in simple language your students will understand. Students participate throughout by answering
questions as we explore the physics of how and why these homemade musical instruments work.
Audiences are surprised to hear such wonderful music come from instruments made out of junk from the recycling bin, and
students are inspired and encouraged to make their own instruments in the classroom and at home.
Jody's simple and clever instruments demystify the invisible world of sound and your students will walk out of the auditorium
feeling "Wow, I could do that". Grades K-12.
"My second graders learned more from you in one hour than they did in my whole six week sound unit."
