     Urgent!

Practice Information for Wednesday, February 10th, 2010:

The District only allows varsity sports on campus when school is closed.  We are fortunate they allow us that, many Districts do not!
There will be no morning practice again tomorrow.  We are tentatively planning on High School from 3-5:30pm plus weights.  Check your e-mail before coming.
If school is closed, there will be no Black (5-7), Orange (7-9) practice or 8 & U practice.
Be safe!

BPR Swimmers are required to wear a BP Swim cap at Meets.  They may wear any style/color at practice, but at meets they are required to wear a BP Cap.  If your swimmer needs a new cap please contact Dawn Douds at 412-833-4982.  BPR caps are available in silicone and in latex.  If you have any questions regarding please see Coach Bill Kennedy

From now on, at all meets, the swimmers must let the coaches know whether they can swim relays immediately after warm-ups are over.  Shortly after that, relays will be made up and posted on the wall where our team is sitting.  It is the swimmers responsibility to check the wall to see if they are in a relay.  They will be posted on the wall the entire session,  Please make sure your swimmer is aware that they need to check the wall.

Thank you!

Coach Dave Kutrufis

A new policy for BPR scratches at our home meets was discussed at our November 2007 Board Meeting.  Our club has to pay a fee to AMS for all entries including scratches, so the Board decided to modify our policy as follows:

"Beginning in January 2008, any BPR swimmer who scratches from an event at a BPR-hosted meet without approval from a BPR coach will be charged the normal entry fee for each event scratched the same as any other meet.  Coaches will approve scratches only for verified illness or injury."
