DIY: ACOUSTIC PANEL WALL-MOUNT SYSTEM

I designed and built this wall-mount system for my homemade Owens-Corning-703 acoustic panels for less than $10 using (oak-faced) 1/2 inch plywood, a 2"X4", some screws, 2 hanging brackets, 4 felt adhesive pads and 4 angle braces.   It brings the (self-covered) 2" OC-703 Acoustic Panel 4-1/2 inches away from the wall with a bare minimum of the panel being blocked, front or back.
(I picked up my OC-703 from ATS Acoustics http://www.atsacoustics.com/ here in Central Illinois)

(The folks at GIK Acoustics http://www.gikacoustics.com/ are also very well known for their room acoustics expertise)

Remember that this is what works for me and you can build these in whatever capacity works best for you. For example, thicker OC-703 panels will provide better absorbtion, especially into the lower frequencies.
