Ron was doing character research for a part as a homeless man in a TV series. He went to a Goodwill Store and purchased old, worn, hand-me-down clothing. The next day he returned wearing the wardrobe along with beard stubble and stood outside the Goodwill store and watched peoples reactions to his appearance as they passed by. A well dressed lady came up and pressed a crisp five dollar bill into his hand and with quivering voice said; "God Bless You" and drove off in a new Mercedes.

Ron joined a carnival for a few days and helped the "Ride Monkeys", as they called themselves, assemble rides for research as a "carney" in a movie. Ron's still proud that he has "moxie".

A pair of huge hands grabbed him by the shoulders to stop him from falling, and when Ron looked up there was a big smiling face with blond hair saying; "Nice work, Mr. De Niro"! It was Actor Dolf Lundgren.
