Friends of the Library will play a key role in the creation of a new Union Township Library. They will act as the key liaison between the Library Focus Group and the community. The Focus Group has a $100,000 matching grant toward the new library.
The Friends Group will aid in raising the matching amount, gathering input for needs and desires for the new library
and making the community aware of the progress of the project.
The new library will offer:
Proximity to our schools
Sidewalk access
Parking
Handicap accessibility
Larger book collection
Downtown location
Adult and young adult
reading area
Story time area
Additional computers
Video and audio collections
Periodicals and newspapers
Restroom facilities
Genealogy section
