Dear Parents,

I printed out the events that have deadlines this month and next month. I have to turn the money in when I make our reservations, so money will be due at time of sign-up. If we don’t get enough volunteers for an event then we will not be able to sign-up and you will get your money back. If anyone is interested in volunteering to help at meetings, or with field trips/events, please get in touch with me. All volunteers do have to fill out paperwork to do so. The council does this in order to protect our daughters.

Permission slips are made up for our “Girl Scout Phone Book”, please have them filled out and turned in by the next meeting so I know who to put on our list. Like I said before, I feel this would be good for days when something happens that a girl is not able to attend the meeting when it is her turn for snacks/drinks. Then you can call one of the other parents and see about trading days.

Some of our crafts we will be doing will need some items from home. These crafts will be helping us to earn our patches (petals for the daisies and try-its for the brownies).  I will make up lists for each level and put them in the folders by the next meeting.

Cookie orders have been tallied and turned in. Our girls did great. Unfortunately we had to round up to full cases, but by doing so we ended up with 2400 boxes. If you would be interested in helping sell some of our extra boxes please let me know. Also, we only had 3 boxes donated to our Gift of  Caring. We needed about 25 or 26 for the church to use for the Christmas boxes for those signed up for Angel Tree. The girls that get donated boxes do get a patch for it. So anyone that can sell even just one of the extra boxes as a donation will receive the Gift of Caring patch. The donated boxes will be turned into me to take to Kane Baptist Church. Some girls came very close to their next recognition, so I used our extra boxes to bump them up. Better news yet, the top two sellers for our Service Unit are both in our troop. Great Job Girls J We averaged about 114 boxes per girl J
