Liberty Baptist Church has a rich heritage of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Since 1963,
Liberty Baptist Church has been carrying out the Great Commission by seeing many souls saved here in Lewisville and through
our missionaries around the world. In 1999 God led Dr. Dick Webster to start a Christian school that would train students
with high academic and Biblical standards. God has tremendously blessed our school and we are training tomorrow's leaders
today.
Membership of Liberty Baptist Church is not required for enrollment in Liberty Baptist School.
However, students and parents are expected to maintain an active membership, and regularly attend and support a Bible believing
church.
We have an experienced and dedicated group of teachers and administrators. Each teacher strives
to create a supportive and challenging classroom atmosphere to encourage students to excell.
High Academic Standards
We take pride in our strong academic reputation. The A-Beka curriculum is used in our Kindergarten classes. The
Accelerated Christian Education curricullum is used in the 1st through
the 12th grade. By using the A.C.E. curriculum, Liberty Baptist School has the ability to address many needs that a conventional
classroom setting cannot; for there all students are lock-stepped, facing the same assignments and expectations. Here each
student is diagnosed and given an individualized course of study. Each student progresses according to his/her own ability.
Accreditation
Accreditation by a state governmental agency is an administrative mechanism designed as an attempt
to attain uniform education for all children in governmental schools. It was established as a governmental means of causing
local public school districts to meet what the state educational agencies determined to be minimum academic and facility standards
for all schools. Accreditation teams, therefore, investigate and approve or disapprove facilities and curriculum in educational
institutions according to the criteria developed by secular educational administrators who may not be Christians.
Accreditation of a Christian school is not necessary for a graduate of the school to enroll
in a college or university. Registrars of such institutions are interested in the academic merits of individual students,
not in the name of their school of graduation. Thus, they evaluate each applicant's academic aptitude through nationally standardized
tests. Nevertheless, Liberty Baptist School is accredited by Accelerated Christian Education, who makes annual visits and
evaluations of the staff, records, and academic progress of the students. This school does not seek accreditation by any other
outside educational institution. However, Liberty Baptist School does provide an instructional academic program designed and
implemented to properly train students who wish to continue their education beyond high school.
Liberty Baptist School students have many advantages due to the versatility of the A.C.E. program.
